A Pulmonologists is a Medical Professional who further specializes in evaluation, diagnosis & treatment of diseases and disorders effecting the lungs & Respiratory Tract.
A pulmonologist is a doctor who specializes in lung disease. The doctor will work closely with other health care professionals to treat a patient's symptoms. The lungs are an essential function of the human body, and a problem with the lungs can interfere with breathing. A chronic cough can be particularly annoying. A pulmonologist can help you breathe more freely. A pulmonary physician can also work with other health care professionals to help treat other conditions that affect your breathing.
A pulmonologist's specialty is the study and treatment of disorders of the respiratory system. They are able to manage a wide range of conditions affecting the lungs. Commonly, they treat a variety of conditions that are related to pulmonary function, such as asthma and COPD. A pulmonologist can also diagnose and treat lung cancer and pleural tumors. This type of medical care can be particularly challenging, and a physiatrist should be consulted if you have concerns about your symptoms or if you have an illness.
