From the outside looking in

I can never see what your eyes have seen
Nor could I know the pain and anger you feel
Never can the slate be truly wiped clean
For deep runs the wound that wont heal

You often feel tired, scared and alone
Even with a loved one sitting so near
No consideration you are often shown
And overpowering can be the fear

When you are feeling like hope is lost
And you don’t have the strength to fight
Or to great is going to be the cost
Or the tunnels end has no light

Reach deeper than you thought you could
And draw strength from those around
Never fight fairly or feel that you should
The will to survive must always be found

Always remember you’re loved by many
And that your soul is worth the fight
Don’t forget you’re as beautiful an any
You are in many prayers every night

My hope goes out to each and everyone
That you find the inner strength to thrive
Your courage will always inspire someone
More than just live, you can become alive
