Hey Rosie, I vote yes, too. And tell him as much as you want to about the effects on you, but also don't tell him what you don't want to tell.

Do I hear correctly that what happens in the holidays depends on his response? That is fine, I think. I never did see any reason why you should have to say it was "OK" for him to be there. It's still very soon. Maybe in 30 years when your hair is gray.

You want to send a copy of the lteter to your dad so he gets a clue what it's really like? Or would you like him (dad) to have to go see your T at least once or twice to get clued in to the effects on people in general--sounds like he could use a good lecture.

just my thoughts.
Jane

You know what, I think calling off the holidays (I assume you mean no bro there) is a terrific idea. It sends the message that actions have consequences. I was very uneasy with the idea of family acting "normal" at the first holiday after the revelation. I think your choice speaks louder than a letter. Not only to bro but to dad and others. It is hard being the one to keep speaking truth over and over--I am so proud of your strength. I don't know if I could do that.

I did it because I am fed up. I'm tired of everything and I want it to stop.

...which is a fine reason. If your bro had taken action and confessed and been sorry, the scene would be different. If your 'rents were taking better care of you, ditto. But it is the way it is so you take the action you can.

I say you rock! Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Express yourself. Stand up for your rights. Sounds like a good deal to me. You are now representing that little girl inside who is scared to face the holidays with her. Good going, good protecting that LG...
