I wonder if any of you would be interested in a Book Club? Nominate selections and vote. Take each chapter and discuss the material, spawned ideas, etc. I find the diverse opinions and approaches of survivors, parents, and partners enlightening. Might narrow the gaps, bridge further understanding and inspire evolutions of thought:
The books would not have to relate to CSA per say. Some suggestions:
The Year of Magical Thinking by Joan Dideon
The Road Less Travelled by M. Scott Peck
Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs by Chuck Klosterman
Living With Our Genes by Dean Hamer & Peter Copeland
Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris |

I vote yes because maybe that could also just be regular books to take our minds off of bad things or whatever. i know i could use a nice book to get lost in right now. great idea! _________________ http://tashabauer.daportfolio.com/

I would love to participate in a book club, I love to read. My interests are varied, anything from self-help, inspiration to fiction. Butterfly _________________ I am only one; but still I am one. Sex drugs and cocoa puffs caught my attention!!
I'd love to participate providing I can get the books over here. (probably through internet ordering, but hey... you'll have to wait up till I get it okay?)
Anyway, I'm game and reading is my thing so how we work this: put up a list and have a vote? Have each member suggest a book and then read it?
put a list in a computer and have it randomly pick one?
I'd say put up a list like Terri did, pick one and next someone else puts up a list. If each list includes "regular" books as well, we'll be able to choose those as well?

Some great books out there. I love roll of thunder hear my cry and my favorite book ever is to Kill a Mockingbird, followed by My Sister's Keeper, and Lovely Bones. A fun book to read is Hypocrtie in a white pouffy dress! Too funny. But I'm up for anything I have wanted to read "me talk pretty one day" Great Idea Terri! _________________ ~Just when the catepillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly~ -Anonymous
