putting an idea out there...

By now ppl might be aware of the water crisis her in Oz, yet another fire flared up due to lightening strikes (how irronic really) but we are still in a major drought. Ballarat country Vic has just dealt with floods, and in other parts of Australia there are fires... my point her is why not take water from Ballarat floods and use it for the fires? Expand further and we could use water from around the world when there is flooding and or just too much water and redirect it to areas with little or no water. Purify it and use it for things like washing, watering crops and other non consuming tasks... still I wonder if ppl were able to trust recycling was safe enough, I tend to believe it is.. why we couldn't cook, and clean and drink it...

I'm putting this out there as I've been thinking over it more and more.. might be a reseach project into 07?? we'll see. Anyone have ideas as to why we can't do it? Knowlege on this subject would be greatly appricated plz.

i voted yes,

as i see here in the netehrlands, you can make water go any way you like!
just make a kanal to where you need the water, and pomp it out the sea, into that kanal. either with a milll-like structure or with a sluice-gate kinda thing.

just make sure the kanal ends in the sea again, so you can let it stream all the time.

I'm not sure how to vote so I don't right now. I do know that someone I know is a environmental specialist who is looking into what makes clouds rain and then hopefully to find a way to make it happen. He's a very smart man and well, I guess since he hasn't found a way yet I'm not sure it can be done.

Redirecting the water once it's on the ground is easy, just ask any dutchy...
